Glendinning welcomed members of the Dartmoor Hill Farm Project (DHFP) to Linhay Hill Quarry for a guided tour and to witness a quarry blast.
E & JW Glendinning have recently partnered with the DHFP to make it easier for farmers to get information, soil testing expertise and access to smaller spreading equipment.
The tour was joined by several members of Glendinning staff who all enjoyed lunch refreshments afterwards.
Russell Ashford, chairman of the DHFP, said, “Farming on Dartmoor has its challenges so the opportunity to work with a local company to find pragmatic solutions is welcomed”.
Barry Wilson, managing director of Glendinning’s said “We are delighted to be able to work with the Dartmoor Hill Farm Project to help develop a solution to the issues of access and spreading which have been affecting farmers who wish to use lime to improve their soils”.
